I'm Karyn Chapman — most people just call me Kaz — a licensed Zumba® instructor based in Murwillumbah. Kazumbah is my way of helping people across the Tweed Valley step into joy through music, movement and connection.
My classes are inclusive, encouraging and designed for different ages and ability levels. Whether you're a complete beginner, an active older adult, a child bursting with energy, or someone who prefers to move from a chair, there's a class for you. No dance background needed — just a willingness to smile, sweat a little and shake it out.
I teach across Murwillumbah and Banora Point, with private sessions, school visits and wellness activations available on request across the wider Tweed Valley and Northern Rivers. Come as you are; leave a little lighter.
That's the heartbeat of Kazumbah. Every class is built so you can walk in unsure of yourself and walk out a little taller — even if you've never danced a day in your life.
Everyone gets greeted by name. No-one stands at the back wondering what to do.
All ages, all bodies, all backgrounds. Choreography adapts to the room, not the other way around.
Low-impact options every song. Mention any injury and Kaz will quietly tailor moves for you.
Big music, small ego. The whole point is to leave class lighter than you walked in.
Kazumbah isn't a franchise. It's a Murwillumbah-based local business that's grown out of years of dancing with my neighbours, friends, school families and community members across the northern NSW region. Many of the people in the room have become friends outside it — and that's exactly the way I like it.
If you've been thinking about getting back into movement, finding a healthier outlet, meeting new people, or just trying something for yourself for once — this is your sign. Come dance with us.

Completely normal. Almost every new Kazumbah regular felt the same on day one. Kaz keeps the room welcoming, breaks moves down clearly and never puts anyone on the spot.
